Compatibility Issues with Adobe Photoshop CS2 with Windows Vista !

This might not please my designer fellows planing to Upgrade to Windows Vista, Be aware that if you were planing to use your current CS2 Softwares on Windows Vista, you might find your self in world of bugs and System errors ! Users of Adobe CS2 who upgraded to Vista are in for some trying times. The CS2 is not fully compatible with Vista. Such users have pleaded with Adobe for software compatibility upgrade without much luck. Swanson says “If you want Vista and you use Adobe CS, you are going to have to buy the new CS3 version”. CS3 is fully compatible with Vista but costs $649, upgrade from CS2 to CS3 costs $200.

Free patches are being developed for some of the products such as PDF so they run smoothly on the Vista and has some dozen odd products that are either not supported by Vista or “officially” not certified to fully compatible with the Vista. What that means is that while the products might install alright on the new OS, not all features would work as expected. Adobe recommends users not even to try installing some products on the new OS.
When XP released some six years back, compatibility issues were to a much less extent. This time round, Swanson says, “Vendors wish they could just forget about [XP-era products] “
At the release of the Windows XP operating system six years ago, incompatibility issues affected consumers to a much smaller extent, Swenson says. This time around, “vendors wish they could just forget about [XP-era products],” he says.
