New Photo Tool for Windows
Microsoft plans to release a new utility tool for digital photography enthusiast with the hope that these users will remain loyal to Windows. The new utility, known as Pro Photo Tools, enables photographers to geotag photos so that people will know their location. Take note that with the proper geotagging, people will be able to discover the images they are looking for.
For example, if they search the word “France”, they will find photos that are related to the country rather than sifting through different folders that use filenames such as IMG_1234.jpg. So until the day when computers can recognize images from millions of photo collections, geotagging is the users best bet in digital photography tagging.
Pro Photo Tools has more features than just geotagging though because this utility seems to be the combination of the Adobe System and the iPhoto from Apple. Whether Microsoft will succeed in its quest to attract more digital photographers still remains to be seen though as the company strives to make this tool more mainstream.
