Intel Atom Processors
Intel Corporation has introduced another five new Intel processors named Intel Atom and Intel Centrino Atom for the Mobile Internet Devices (MID) technology. The technology includes the Atom processotr as well as a single-chip integrated graphics named the Intel System Controller Hub. It has PC-like abilities while being a small device that fits perfectly on your pocket. All over the world, manufacturers are planning to use the Intel MID starting this summer.
The MID is definitely a great mobile device that has can enable users to have the best online experience in pocket devices. It allows the users to communicate, access information, entertain, and be productive while enjoying a highly mobile lifestyle. The MID is expected to be a representation of the next generation processors.
On the other hand, the Intel Centrino Atom was formerly codenamed “Menlow”. This technology is the smallest and fastest chip that is under 3 watts. It has a power range of 160-220 mW and an idle power of 80-100 mW. The low power is possible because of major processor design techniques including the Intel Deep Power Down Technology, the Split I/O power supply, and the CMOS mode. The technical capability of the new Atom will definitely improve the mobile lifestyle of countless individuals.
