If you are looking for anti-virus software then you might want to consider looking into the Alwil Avast 4 Professional Edition. Compared to its counterparts though, this particular anti-virus software might be a little disappointing because it has a poor proactive protection. It can only catch around 37% of all new malware programs. Meanwhile, its disinfection performance can only be described as average. It can actually clean all infected files but it misses some changes in your network setting and your registry entries.
The Alwil Avast 4 Professional Edition can smoothly install on your computer system without a problem, it even has default setting so even a computer novice will not have a hard time with it. There are two interface options you can choose from including the media-player control panel or an “enhanced” interface wherein you can have access to fine-tune more computer settings.
Right after the installation, this antivirus will perform a full-system scan but it is rather hard to set up a regular scanning schedule because of its awkward though advanced interface.
