Orkut now lets you insert HTML !!
yeah guys today what happened i was looking from months, now we can insert html tags in orkut !!
( although there are some restrictions of course ) like you can send those html content to your orkut friends only
Seems like google is trying to excel in every field adding more and more features, hopefully soon users will get rights to fully customize their profile pages as alredy included in other Social Bookmarking sites like : HI5.com and my space
Now, you can paste in photos, videos, audio, and flash widgets in scraps to your friends.
How to-
Add images -Copy and paste urls ending in .jpg, .gif, .png or .bmp and the image will appear in the scrap. for example, http://example.com/example.jpg
Add videos from YouTube and Google Video - Copy and paste the url and the video will appear in the scrap. for example, http://youtube.com/watch?v=videoid
Add podcast/audio - Copy and paste the url of an audio file and an audio player will appear in the scrap. for example, http://example.com/example.mp3
Add html-embeddable objects - Create or upload your content at sites such as photobucket.com, imageshack.com, rockyou.com or slide.com. Copy and paste the html embed code to share it with your friends.
List of current restrictions
* There’s currently a 1024 character limit for scraps.
* You must be friends with someone to send them a rich-content scrap. The “scrap tips” box lists the options still available for scraps to people who aren’t on your friends list.
* orkut accepts the following file formats for images: .jpeg, .gif, .png or .bmp.
* orkut converts new line characters into HTML “br” tags, which can break the look of pasted HTML.
* orkut doesn’t allow link text to differ from the URL of a link.
