iPhone 3G Reviews
iPhone 3G reviews have been released. The lucky few who were selected to review this famous gadget include David Pogue of the New York Times, Walt Mossberg of All Things Digital, and Edward Baig of USA Today. There wasn’t a lot of surprises since everyone already knew what 3G is all abut; with the exception of features such as GPS, fast network, and third party applications, the iPhone is basically the same.
Still, there are some interesting details that were revealed from the review. For example, Mossberg was dismayed over the battery life because it drained a lot quickly compared to the original iPhone. This is most likely because 3G networks require a high power demand and therefore its consumption is also higher. Meanwhile, Baig thought that it consumed almost the same amount of energy as the original version.
One of the most significant additions to iPhone, in Pogue’s opinion, is the presence of GPS. Apple stated that its antenna is too small for turn-by-turn navigation by Baig said it wasn’t bad at all. In fact, he was impressed by its accuracy. Overall, the 3G is a nice upgrade but it could have been included in the original version already.

What Does SLR Camera Do?
Everyone has heard of the term digital SLR cameras because this is the new trend in professional digital photography these days. But an amateur photographer might wonder, what are SLR cameras anyway? Digital SLR is basically short for digital single lens reflex; it is named as such because it uses a mirror placed behind the lens in order to direct the light towards a viewfinder when you’re trying to get the perfect shot. When you release its shutter, this mirror will swing away so that the light will travel straight towards the sensor and block out the viewfinder temporarily. In SLR camera, the viewfinder also makes use of prism generally a pentaprism which flips the image so that you will see it with its right side up.
The SLR camera design also permits the camera to accommodate different lens focal lengths; this is the reason why this type of camera dominates professional photography these days. Take note that in non-SLR cameras, you will need to complement the angle of the “viewing lens” with the “taking lens”. It may be easy with a short-range zoon or even a fixed lens but it necessities expensive viewfinder features. With the SLR camera, you will be able to get rid of this problem altogether since the viewing and taking lens is the same thing.

It makes up for this downside through its battery life, dialing convenience, and its external features. The E62 is light to hold so users are comfortable in holding it for prolonged periods.
Take note though that the Nokia E62 is best used as an office phone because it lacks a lot of multimedia features. For example, it does not have 3G capability and it has no camera. Although the MP3 integrated in the device can provide clear music to music-lovers. AOL and Yahoo Talks
The Yahoo and Time Warner deal has been brewing for months and even years when you take their previous discussions into consideration. Time Warner is giving hints on a potential partnership while almost the same information is being leaked from Yahoo. The problem is, Reuters report notes that the two companies don’t appear closer to signing a deal than they were in the past at the time when Microsoft offered a buy-out bid to Yahoo.
On the other hand, Wall Street Journal reported that the deal is getting some traction because the $33 per share offer for Yahoo was withdrawn. But similar to Reuters, the paper also believes that the talks don’t seem to be serous. For one, they note that the combination have an estimated value of $10 billion on AOL but that was before the Yahoo shares lowered back to trading levels.
In the end, it all comes down to Yahoo looking for alternative ways to bring its value back to $33 per share that Microsoft had already initially offered before talks broke down last May. Meanwhile, Microsoft is searching for ways to improve its advertising search business similar to those by Google.
