Looking for relevant information on the internet these days can be a chore. In particular, the article directory focuses on the technology field so you can definitely expect a lot of information about server configuration, web design, and other tools from this article directory. It is here that you will discover why samba is a tool for UNIX. Realize that Samba allows UNIX-based systems to operate with the Window-based systems. Samba can do this because it understands the networking protocol from Microsoft, the Session Message Block (SMB).
Windows uses the SMB protocol in its file sharing as well as network printing capability. A system administrator will be able to deploy a UNIX-based system on a Windows network because of this. There are many other tips and tricks you can discover from howto.fm, in fact, there are so many articles that are related to this topic.

How Important is Your Page Rank?
A lot of people argue over the importance of Page Rank in determining Google search results. Having a low PR may indicate that you are doing something wrong while a high PR indicates that you are doing something correctly. However, it is important to realize that Page Rank or PR does play a role in determining your ranking in search results but it is not the only significant factor there is.
Take note that when you type a keyword in the Google search engine, the software will start looking through its database for relevant results. It crawls into the title tags, the meta tags, and even how the keywords are treated (ie, italic, bold, or bulleted). Of course it also considers PR. It is impossible that a website with a lower PR can rank higher in search engines compared to a site with high PR. It simply means that when all the factors are combined, the site with low PR is more relevant in the particular search.
So think of PR as the tiebreaker. When everything else between two sites are equal, the PR will determine which site will rank higher compared to the other. It is true that PR is important but don’t forget to look into other factor as well.

Black Holes: The Universe’s Tough Guys
Probably the toughest guys in the universe are the black holes. These objects have the capability to gobble up everything on their surroundings from plants to stars. In fact, the gravity from the black hole is so strong that not even light can escape it. But just like the planets wherein there are small planets and big planets, there are also small and big black holes.
Astronomers have announced that they found the smallest black hole to date. Nikolai Shaposhnokov and Lev Titarchuk have identified a black hole named XTE J1650 as the smallest black hole. It is estimated to be the size of 3.8 Suns and when you consider the fact that one Sun can contain millions of earths, the smallest black hole is not really that small at all.
The XTE J1650 was formed at the center of a star. The core of that dying star is actually a nuclear reactor that generates energy that turns lighter elements like hydrogen into heavier elements like oxygen. However, when the reactor runs out of fuel, which is the case here, it will shut down and the core will collapse because of its own gravity. This, in turn, will form what we know as the black hole.

Technology Footprint
Recently, the word “footprint” has gained a lot of popularity when people talk about emissions and carbon consumption. But “footprint” is becoming quite rampant in the information technology world as well. In its original form, the footprint contains a lot of information about the identity of its owner. So in looking for ways to determine the value of IT investments, Andrew McAfee is developing the concept of technology footprint.
He said that the technology footprint is the functional, divisional, and geographic reach; basically, it is a description on how much territory a particular IT can cover. Knowing the technology’s footprint is one of the core elements that organizations use for better design and the evaluation of IT projects. The other two components in the technology footprint include cost and capability.
For example, network technologies have incredibly large footprints because this includes the e-mail and other connectivity technology. On the other hand, function technology has small ones because these include the CAD system which is not used outside the engineering field. Meanwhile, enterprise technologies such as CRM can either have large footprints or small ones because it is highly complex. The borders of the enterprise technology should be set very carefully.
