This is exactly what the founder and ceo of new online desktop application “Nivio” Sachin Duggal, which was launched in india, on 15th june, said. According to him it is the first of its type windows based online desktop.
But avid surfers know more of these type of things. It’s main features, as said by its ceo, are first windows based online desktop to which users can connect remotely through windows, mac, and some handheld devices, they can access software applications, educational content, and store their music and data, for which it offers 5gb space.

But here’s a glitch to it also. Registered members can use it free for one month, after which they have to pay a rental 0f 399 Rs ( app. $20 ) . per month but for students it is only 199 Rs. per month.
Our take: Nothing revolutionary, but a nice venture to start, more because it’s from India.

You have your own online account, desktop, online accessible applications, free storage space, all included in one online desktop. It is somewhat Google was speculated to build up around past an year or later…..but nothing came out.
But i would hope to see more such free services on offer
