Apple’s tactics in improving its hardware and software can cut Microsoft’s profit to its bones. With Apple’s intention to enable its Mac computer to run on the Windows operating system, it is expected that more users will be attracted to using this PC. The convenient toggling of the Apple computer enables a featured called “Spaces”. And when you couple all thee developments with the company’s recent release of the programmer tool kit to write iPhone applications, more business users are expected to take advantage of the technology.
Apple’s moves may seem totally unrelated but it looks like a full-fledged strategy to some. For example, Windows users will now be able to use Apple computers and iPhone devices in the near future because of the widening number of Mac applications. The will not need to give up essential Window-based application because these are available on the Mac computers.
It is interesting to note that while Apple is moving into flexibility, Microsoft is taking the opposite path with rigidities being seen in its operating system. Also, even as Microsoft struggles to bring the Windows 7 to its launch in 2010, Apple has declared that its Mac OS X is just the right platform for new products over the next decade.
